Description DecoBird Budgerigar
The Budgerigar is carefully and intricately hand-carved from lime wood and painted with water-based acrylic paint. Each bird sculpture varies slightly and is therefore unique.
The name Budgerigar, or Budgie as they are affectionately called, is derived from a Gamilaraay Aboriginal language in which they are known as Betcherrgah. The Budgie is a common bird throughout most of Australia’s interior, west of the Great Dividing Range, where they live in flocks of different sizes. They are very good at imitating different sounds, are able to learn words, phrases, and whistles easily.
The bird sculpture is a great gift idea for any occasion that brings an element of wildlife into your home! Get your new feather friend today!
