The three seed plates are made of high-quality terracotta and are shaped like dishes. They fit on the rim of an ordinary drinking glass or a reused jam jar. Each dish has different-sized holes in the middle through which the roots of the various seeds can grow into the water below. The first dish has a wider hole of 2.5 cm - ideal for holding larger seeds such as avocado seeds. The second tray has a smaller hole of 1.2 cm, perfect for medium sizes such as pumpkin seeds or garlic cloves. The third model has a grid-like bottom, which is suitable for germinating smaller seeds like Broccoli, Sunflower or Mung Beans.
