Side by Side is a collaboration of 9 different sheltered workshops for the intellectually and physically disabled in Germany. Their mission: to combine good design with practical consumer goods whilst providing meaningful employment for their charges. Commissioning the ideas and talent of bright, young designers they have developed a well resolved range of useful very special design products; focusing on achieving the highest standards in function, form and quality. Their success is to be seen in the pure simplicity of their beautifully executed range and was honoured with various international design awards.
