Alessi Plisse Electric Kettle Black - a sculptural Italian design by Michele De Lucchi
Make your kitchen the runway with the black Alessi Plissé Kettle. This 1.7-litre kettle was designed by Michele De Lucchi as a beautifully crafted piece that oozes 'haute couture’ elegance. Inspired by pleated skirts and dresses, the kettle's form is transformed by light and shadow, causing it to dance and pirouette like a poised ballet dancer.
This kettle is not just a water boiler but a piece of functional art. De Lucchi explains, "The folds give shape to the form – they structure it – because a form without folds is only a volume without form. They transform simple two-dimensional leaves into three-dimensional objects".
This philosophy has transpired into a design that deservedly is a star among Alessi's product portfolio.
This kitchen accessory embodies the essence of Italian flair and lightness. While most kettles merely boil water, the Alessi Plissé Kettle is a celebration of design, an affirmation of style, and a tribute to functionality.
It is crafted from BPA-free polyresin, with thermal insulation allowing you to place it on a bench straight after boiling. An anti-limescale filter and a generous capacity ensure the perfect tea or coffee experience for you and your friends.
Delight in the soft sophistication and feminine curves of the Plissé, which introduces a subtle elegance into your kitchen. The Plisse kettle by Alessi is not just a kitchen appliance but an unforgettable statement piece that embodies a fusion of form and function.

Alessi plessis kettle
It makes a statement in a commonly used item. My wife laughed at the idea of a kettle as a Mother’s Day present but she now appreciates it.
