Alessi La Cupola sculptural espresso coffee maker, designed by Aldo Rossi
The Alessi La Cupola is a coffee maker designed in 1988 by Italian architect Aldo Rossi. The modern Moka pot was born from the designer’s desire to create a coffee pot that is easily in reach for everyone, thus gaining a lot of public success. The inspiration for La Cupola’s style is easily found all over Italy; just look at the dome of the Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Cathedral in Florence or the Basilica of San Vitale in Venice.
La Cupola initiates a dialogue between your visual taste and your taste buds. The elegant shapes leave nothing to be desired in terms of design, which also applies to the coffee. La Cupola has heat-conducting properties that allow you to prepare the perfect espresso. This coffee machine is a small tabletop architecture with a dome-shaped lid, functional and beautiful to look at at the same time - an icon of contemporary industrial design with which one can prepare and serve a great coffee.
